CIRCYLAR Galerie is delighted to open its new location at Schwedter Straße 267 with the solo exhibition „Interspace“ by urban art artist Philip Wallisfurth. Parallel to the Gallery Weekend Berlin 2024, Wallisfurth will create a large-format open-air mural right next to the gallery at the „FIT – Freie Internationale Tankstelle“. The mural transports visitors into the immersive visual world of the Aachen-born artist and is conceived as a site-specific work. Visitors can expect a walk-in work of art that shows the artist’s interesting development and visual language. Visitors are invited to engage directly with Philip Wallisfurth’s art and world of experience in a dynamic environment.
Wallisfurth has been active in the art world since 2007 as a young and energetic figure, both in his current place of work in Berlin and in his home town of Aachen. His art has taken him to various exhibitions, art festivals and commissions from Germany to Shanghai. He is known for his vibrant and eclectic approach, encompassing a wide range of media, from paste-ups and moss graffiti to murals and sculptures. His works are characterized by a playful use of bright colors and contrasts designed to evoke a sense of immediate joy and engagement.
„Interspace“ showcases Wallisfurth’s unique ability to combine the raw energy of street art with the polished aesthetics of contemporary art. The exhibition encourages visitors to interact with the installations, creating an immersive experience that blurs the boundaries between the artwork and the audience.
